One of the original ideas with our Center of Excellence of P&O and our collaboration with Mahidol University is to educate the Thai CPO's in new techniques and materials. We have now introduced Pre-impregnated Carbon Fiber technology for manufacturing of light wight and very strong orthotics. It is the same kind of material used in airplane wings and sport cars and by applying different types of fibers, fiber directions and number of layers we can design orthotics with different hardness and flexibility depending on the patients needs. We can also mix in different materials to create joints or soft comfortable parts of an orthotic device.
